Mr. Robert (Bobby) Oakley

Mr. Robert Earl Oakley, 51, died on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Shady Grove
Adventist Hospital,
Rockville. He was the husband of Patricia A. Oakley, his wife of 29 years.
Born on June 2, 1953, in Ringgold, Va., he was a son of Eunice Shotwell Oakley
and the late Buddy
Oakley.
He was employed at NIH, Rockville, and previously at NIEHS in the Research
Triangle, Park, N.C.
He was a member of the Club at Interstate Association of the Deaf, the Timber
Festival
Association for the Deaf and Montgomery County Association for the Deaf.
He was a billiard champion and enjoyed wrestling.
Surviving beside his wife and mother are a daughter, Jennifer Oakley of Florida;
a son, Bryan
Oakley of Frederick; a brother, Wayne Oakley, sisters, Shirley Ballew and Kathy
Romulo, nieces,
Tammy Oakley and Maria Romulo, and nephews, Frank Ballew and Daniel Oakley, all
of North
Carolina.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Oakley.
Family received friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike,
Frederick, on
Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. only. Other services was private.

Robert Oakley was cremated and buried in Roxboro, North Carolina per
Robert's wishes.
I have his urn with me at home and we will be together at Inner Harbor in
Baltimore, MD when
I pass away.
