June/July 2008
As I was watching the "When
We Left Earth: The NASA Missions"
series on the Discovery channel and now playing on the Science
channel, it reminded me the above article I wrote as an assignment
in the Creative Writing class. I also remember the circumstances in
class when I received the assignment writing about the class trip to
Charlotte. Believe it or not, I was actually bored in
Creative Writing...electrical
and science was my favorite subjects so I decided to play around in
my writing about the trip which was probably one of the last of
the many Creative Writing articles I wrote during my last year at NCSD.
First paragraph: Pretty much a standard introduction about
the trip. Second paragraph: Really, I put this in as a
joke. Third and fourth paragraphs: I put these in
to stay out of trouble with the
second paragraph. Last paragraph: Boy I
was bored and wanted to finish this assignment quick
so I finished it quick, didn't I? Much to my surprise, as
you can see, this article was
printed in The North Carolinian. So here we are...I'm
revealing secrets about an article I wrote
38 years ago...graded A+, eh?
