Seeing the above movie projector brought back memories that I had
completely forgotten: During my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years, I
was sometimes the movie projectionist for the Saturday Night at the
Movies in the auditorium. For some reason or another, some of us
Seniors missed out a few of those Saturday night movies...maybe
because of a Saturday night ball game...a sports night banquet...and
for sure the Jr-Sr prom.
Well, I wasn't going to let my buddies miss out on the
movies...my
projectionist comrades collaborated with me during the two week football
camp to commission, the older...um...unused projector to HH and when
the need arrived, 2 or 3 of us would bring the film rolls to my room and
we'd have our own "Early Sunday Morning at the Movies".
Then just before Sunday Chapel services we return the
films back to
it's mailing package in the projector stand. Thus the reason why
some of us had the tendency to doze off during the moralism pep talks.
