                Gary's Playmore Beach Film

Three Clips In One Video
Gary took this film believed to be in May of 1969.
Clip One ends with Gary running towards the camera.
Clip Two is a 360 view of the main swimming area of Playmore Beach.
Clip Three is the concession area somewhere on the site.

8mm Film Clip Details
Clip One: Guy wearing jersey 22 is believed to be Gary Duncan ('71),
guy dancing is Gene Oxendine performing his signature dance. Next is
filming of one of the many walking trails at the park, then as mentioned
above, the clip ends with Gary running towards the camera.
Clip Two: Playmore Beach was affectingly known as PlayBoy Beach,
but then again, what school does not have a playful slang of an outing
with teenage memories.
Clip Three: Near the end of this concession area clip, two schoolmates
from the Class of '69 (Judy Dilda and Kaye Williams) are shown so this
confirms our suspicion that this group of clips were taken in May of 1969.

According my conversation with John, it is believed that today's
Playmore Beach in Lenior, NC, is not the same as the original
shown on this website.
